  1. I've discovered an undocumented option, /AUTOTEST, for the
  2. DOS FORMAT command. By bypassing the "Volume label" and
  3. "Format another diskette" prompts (it assumes the negative
  4. for both), /AUTOTEST lets you format disks with less input.
  5. There's one drawback:  /AUTOTEST doesn't work with DOS 5.0's
  6. /Q (quick) option.

  12. and later. Because it lets you bypass the prompts, /AUTOTEST
  13. is extremely handy for formatting a disk from a batch file,
  14. or if you simply want to format a single disk with no
  15. questions asked.
